Emma Hauser

Emma is devoted to empowering children and families. She aims to be a safe holding space for children as they heal, grow and develop. Through the use of the therapeutic relationship Emma supports children and families to gain deeper insight into behaviours, emotions and attachment and so improve the mental health and wellbeing of children.

Emma has worked in Education as an Early Childhood and Primary Teacher, Director and Adult Educator for the past 15 years. Emma has a Masters of Social Work and obtained Advanced Clinical Training in Child Centered Play Therapy and Interplay Family Therapy through Play Therapy Australia and runs her own Private Practice.

Emma has supported children and families of diverse cultural, ability and social backgrounds. She believes that her experience as an Educator, Social Worker and Family and Play Therapist, along with being a mother of two young men, enables her to bring life experience as well as clinical skills to collaborate in partnership with a wide variety of support networks to support children in their mental health and wellbeing.

Emma believes the client is expert of their own life and that a therapeutic Relationship is key to true, lasting growth. She is passionate about enhancing the use of PLAY as the most natural language of children, and therefore the ideal modality to support their mental health and wellbeing.
